Caracas is located in the north central area of Venezuela approximately an hour and a half drive for the beaches of the Caribbean.

Taxis are a common method of getting around but they are not metered so be sure to agree on a price before getting in the taxi.

Airports

The primary airport for getting to Caracas is the Simon Bolivar ( Maiquetia ) International Airport located approximately 16 miles from Caracas. Several airlines provide service to Caracas such as American Airlines, Continental Airlines, and Delta Air Lines.
